Do not let your funds remain idle: the Idle Thumbs return!

Video Games, Baboo, Puffins, Horse Bag, The (shitty) Wizard, Trine, Far Cry 2, Jeff Goldblum and of course Hot Scoops. All these things are synonymous with the Idle Thumbs podcast and The Idle Thumbs podcast. Through some of the most tedious hours and grimmest times in my recent life Chris Remo, Jake ‘Video Games’ Rodkin, Nick Breckon, Steve ‘Hot Scoops’ Gaynor and Sean ‘Famous’ Vanaman provided hours of insightful wit, cheerful banter and hilarious music. These guys introduced me to podcasts – I’d had no interest in conventional radio for some time – and I have been broken ever since.

Sure, there have been other podcasts since the second (third?) iteration of the Idle Thumbs but none have been as good. And what made them good was that they were not conducted over Skype but rather in person, and the people involved in the talks managed to make the audience feel like a participant in their discussions.

The casts’ first run came to an end when Nick ‘Fuck Nick’ Breckon went off to Bethesda. The remaining thumbs restarted it again only for it to end once more when Chris ‘Boost’ Remo went to Irrational Games. Well, Chris is back in San Francisco and as the forums have indicated they need your help.

A Kickstarter fund has been started up to fund the podcast’s return. It has already reached the required amount but I still reckon it is worth contributing to.
